In 2016 it was announced by the American government that Harriet Tubman would be on the front of the Twenty dollar bill. There were mixed feelings on whether or not Harriet Tubman, the well known abolitionist, should be on US currency. 7 years later we're still waiting on it. In 2022 it was announced that Tubman would be on the twenty in the year 2030. Putting Tubman on Twenty dollar bills doesn't discredit former US president Andrew Jackson, who is currently on the bill. It would simply acknowledge what black people have done for America financially. The Tub Dub crewneck sweatshirt is just a gentle reminder of what the US government announced in 2016.
From February 2023 and beyond, regardless of you being part of the US government, continue to remind yourself of promises you made and be sure to uphold them. To paraphrase Harriet Tubman, Never run your train off the track. Never lose a passenger.
